Claire Alexander Moore: Artist/Poet
Tell us a bit about yourself...
I am an Australian living in England working as an artist/poet, a Body & Brain Yoga/Ki-Gong teacher. I am also a mother to 3 children and creative/business partner to my photographer husband Casey Moore at our company Studio Collision. I recently started working as a stylist/art director too.

What inspires you?
I am inspired by the universal patterns and movements of the natural world, space, the Moon, and the Earth. I am inspired by those who work with a higher purpose, the people around me, their passions, creative output, those that work for the good of all.
Where I come from inspires me - the farm, valley and coastline where my family have been since 1878 in Eastern Victoria, Australia.
Any moving/expanding/growing phenomena, new thought or ideas, peace movements, art movements, social movements, sacred geometry, activism, movements in consciousness, scientific breakthroughs, the energy revolution, the body, also ancient beliefs, particularly Taoism.
I mainly find my inspiration through meditation, going inside is the widest fullest place to explore for me, returning the most surprises and the most truth.

Who is your style icon and why?
Annie Hall (Diane Keaton), Yoko Ono, Patti Smith and Grace Jones because they have all created the new with the highest style while taking on the patriarchy. I also love the way the artist Yayoi Kusama dresses, completely embodying her own art. I love that none of them gave/give a shit but all make an incredible impact that stamps their independence and power.
What are you listening to and reading at the moment?
I am reading Devotion by Patti Smith (her newest book on her creative process) and also I've Decided to Live to 120 Years by my teacher Ilchi Lee (a book on Longevity, Vitality and Transformation).
Music wise I have become really lazy and just listen to the music Casey (my husband) serves up! It's always amazing and new (after hours and hours and HOURS of listening, editing and searching). I feel lucky to have this on tap. I must get back onto my own search though, it's time.

What do you like about Sideline?
I adore SIDELINE for it's ease of wear, amazing cut, unique look and I just always feel completely great in it. I get a compliment every time I wear a SIDELINE piece, wherever I am in the world. Wearing clothes I know have been designed and made with a conscience by someone whom I admire and call a friend is really a gift. I am so happy and grateful you and your amazing creations exist Ellen!!
